Empower & Engage Organisations on Effective FLN Methods to Accelerate Progress

Teaching at the Right Level Africa believes in the power of collaboration. In addition to our direct work with governments, we have trained organisations and individuals in over 16 countries. These actors have gone on and trained others, contextualised the model as required, and improved learning for millions of children. TaRL Africa equips partner organisations with the basics of the TaRL approach through open-access training, fosters the creation of deep and far teaching technical expertise on the continent through a fellowship program and creates learning and connection opportunities across organisations.

We do so through the following areas of support:

Open Access
Bootcamp

TaRL Africa provides an open-access free 10-day training on TaRL. The training is aimed at developing the skills of individuals who have no prior experience with the TaRL methodology, and it is designed specifically for those intending to implement TaRL programmes across the continent. The main objective of the Bootcamp is to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively implement TaRL programmes, which enable children to acquire basic reading and maths skills.

TaRL Africa
Fellowship Programme

The TaRL Africa Fellowship Programme is an invitation-based 18-month programme that aims to enhance the TaRL technical capacity on the African continent by supporting the development of Leaders of Practice. The Fellowship will provide Leaders of Practice from countries across Africa with deep experience in the classroom to diversify their skill set and be exposed to different contexts, strengthen their design, training and methodological skills and support the growth and refinement of TaRL across Africa.
